Once you know which students will be using BookNook, it is time to add them to the site. There are two methods for adding students. In this article, we will be reviewing how to add students one at a time. For your initial upload, we recommend that you use the "Import Student List" tool. Note: to update an existing student account such as ethnicity, gender, and more, please see these directions.
Step 1: When signing in to BookNook, click on the "Students" tab on the left hand column
Step 2: In the app, click on the "Choose An Action Dropdown" box. Click “Add a Student”
- Note 1: the username will be auto-generated from the first and last name field; do not include a suffix (jr, III, etc).
- Note 2: If your student's name is already in use in the BookNook system, it will automatically add a number to the username. Click on the Student Tab to view your student's username.
Step 4: Click "Add Student". If "Add Student" remains gray, it is an indication something above is not filled our correctly.
