Once you know which students will be using BookNook, it is time to add them to the site. There are two methods for adding students. In this article, we will be reviewing how to add students one at a time. For your initial upload, we recommend that you use the "Import Student List" tool. For those directions, please visit this FAQ page.
Step 1: When signing in to BookNook, click on the "Students" tab on the left hand column
Step 2: In the app, click on the "Choose An Action Dropdown" box. Click “Add a Student”
Step 3: Insert the required student info.
- Note 1: username must be at least 8 characters and we recommend firstname.lastname (no spaces).
- Note 2: If your student's name is already in use in the BookNook system, you will need to add a extra character or change the username. For example, natasha.brown already exists, so I can change this to natasha.brown1 to have this account added.
Step 4: Click "Add Student". If "Add Student" remains gray, it is an indication something above is not filled our correctly.
