Once you know which guides will be using BookNook, it is time to add them to the site. There are two methods for adding guides. In this article, we will be reviewing the the "Import Guide List" tool. For directions on uploading guides one at a time, please visit this FAQ Page..
Please note: your spreadsheet (click here for a Google Sheets template - you must make a copy to edit this sheet) must be in .csv format. When saving, be sure to select .csv as the file type. you can download the recommended .csv spreadsheet at the bottom of these directions.
Step 1: When signing in to BookNook, click on the "Guides" tab on the left hand column
Step 2: Click “Import Guide List" in the upper right hand corner
Step 3: Drag and drop the .csv file from your computer into the BookNook app or click "Or, Find Your file" to select from the location you have saved the .csv
Step 4: Click “Yes” on the screen to confirm the .csv file you are uploading.
Step 5: Click “Ok, Got It” on the screen to confirm the fields you are uploading are correct.
Step 6: If any fields are incorrect, they will be indicated by a red exclamation point letting you know what fields must be corrected (screenshot below), but you can make adjustments to ensure data is uploaded for the required fields (see Step 5)
Step 7: When all missing fields have been correctly adjusted, the warning at the top of the page will clear
Step 8: At the bottom of this page, click “Yes, looks good” which will have turned green
Step 9: You will receive confirmation of the number of guides you have uploaded. If any errors occurred you will be notified which rows from your spreadsheet contained the errors, which is often forgetting to fill one of the cells in with the needed information for that guide.
